I can’t believe week three is already here. I’m excited to see my stack of blocks getting taller and taller.
Plus the hexie bowl is actually looking more full than empty now!
The only real challenging theme of the past week for me was ‘Orbit’. I spent a bit of time trying to find a scrap that could fit that. I finally found this planet piece…. I’m slightly sad that it isn’t very centered but that’s alright because I still didn’t need to touch to yardage cabinet!
The hexies were a lot easier to put together. I tend to have a lot of fabrics that fit within that 1’ hexie size because I used to make a ton of EPP quilts. So when I would shop for fabrics, I would always keep the hexie scale in mind while choosing prints.
The fact that one week of one hexie a day = a hexie flower is giving me ideas. Maybe a casual year long hexie project?
