Bauble: A Precuts Please Project
There are multiple things to love about the holiday season. For me, the thing I love the most is ornaments. I think it is because decorating with ornaments is very similar to working with fabric: it’s filled with possibilities. I love choosing different colors and themes and shapes. Do I want matte ornaments or do I feel like sparkles this year?
I often joke with friends that I’m going to become one of those houses with multiple Christmas trees. I’ve managed to keep it to only two so far (one full size and one mini) but the urge to get another is ever-present.
This year, I made an ornament quilt to satisfy the design itch.
I’ve used a white-on-white background for the pattern cover but I do wonder what it would look like with a green background. I think then it would be much more treelike.
Printable PDF available by clicking the button above. The print version also includes a coloring sheet to help with planning out fabric placement.
And that is the last of the original Precuts Please patterns! The initial plan was to do two more volumes (one for FQs and one for layer cakes/charm squares). I think something like that could still be possible in the future but I’m not sure I would do all twelve at once.
Do you have any requests for themes you’d like to see only made with precut fabrics?
