Umbrella: A Precuts Please Project

I think out of all the Precuts Please projects designed for rolls that this one is the most versatile when it comes to fabric selection.

The cover quilt was made with one jelly roll of Mix It Up by Moda Fabrics and one jelly roll of Simply Delightful by Sherri and Chelsi for Moda Fabrics. While I believe that any quilt can be made in any colorway, it’s hard to deny that some designs automatically lend themselves well to certain colors or fabric lines. Umbrella can be anything and that is so exciting.

I could see a more structured variation with alternating strips in the umbrella top.

Or what about an all solids version using only two colors?

I don’t want to bog down this post with too many varieties. I would love to see any versions that you create!

NOTE: I’m going to shorten the number of pages I show images of in this post so it’s not too bulky. The full PDF is thirteen pages long and has more detailed instructions. It’s available to download after the pattern images.

The full pattern includes detailed instructions as well as a coloring sheet. There are also separate cutting instructions if you’d like to try one of the designs that use single colors/fabrics for each design element.
